Setting up an Equine Health Records Notebook

November 21, 2008
By

Here is a great gift idea for horseowners.

I have made these for my horse friends in the past and they love them.

Farnam has an Equine Health Record set that you can download.
I use these downloads to create an Equine Health Records notebook for my horse friends.

Here are the instructions:

1. Find a Notebook that will hold 8.5″ x 11″ sheets of paper – Prefer the kind with a zipper closure
2. Print off enough Equine Health Records for each horse + 2 additional sets.
3. Print off one Deworming Guide (Put the Deworming Guide in a sheet protector or you can laminate them like I do.)
4. 5-Tab Divider set with divider labels (You can print off or leave the label sheet for them to print the names of the horses – be sure to use one divider & label for Originals)
5. Pencil/Pen bag with pencil, pen, and highlighter included.
6. Sheet protectors – I usually include one for each horse.
7. Place the dividers in the notebook and put one set of the Equine Health Record behind each divider. Place the extra dividers + the original two sets in the back of the book. Take the Deworming Guide and put it at the front of the book right behind the pencil/pen bag.

For very little investment you have a wonderful gift for Christmas or any holiday.
