Caught! Red Pawed!

November 23, 2009

Duke has been caught! He finally showed his paw at where he was getting out at! The section in the Pictures is a section of our Garage that we are still in the process of taking down and re-doing so we had to have a way of securing the area so the dogs would not get out of their Kennel.

Please excuse the mess – we are working on it this weekend. We could not figure out how he was getting out because we didn’t think he could climb it and everything “looked” secure but leave it to an Aussie to show you your weaknesses! I love him for being so smart but it can be a pain in my backside at times. Well, here he is – STUCK like there is no tomorrow at the top wedged between to fence panels!!!

I have the pictures to prove he is stuck at the top of the fence! Notice he has one foot on one side and one foot on the other side and he is holding on with his feet – I literally had to pry is feet open to make him release the fence he was that scared! Dad’s in the background assessing the situation while I took these photos as proof! No dog in their right mind would have attempted what he has just done! Do you think he thinks he is a cat?

We caught him Red Pawed and the neighbors were enjoying Duke’s newest adventure!

Looks like a pretty smart dog in my book. Too bad he had to get caught. Glad you found him doing this thing. Would hate to loose him.

LOL! We have a Duke dog too. Dufas dog more for us…
He has gotten out by digging shallow holes and rolling out under the fences. I've poured cement in the holes and secured them, so we'll see how long that lasts until he realizes he can try the same thing on another stretch of fence… dumb dog.

Funny! They can be too smart for us at times!
Whatever happened with your garage? Did I miss the post?
