Hawaiian Slaw – It’s Da Bomb!

After 43 years, I found out I liked Slaw but on Saturday we went to a fish fry and I thought I had died and gone to heaven. What I thought was a normal Slaw was not – it was Hawaiian Slaw. What is Hawaiian Slaw you ask? Well, here are two recipes for Hawaiian Slaw – I had version two!

Hawaiian Slaw

Serves: 8

4 cups Cabbage shredded
1 (8 ounce) can crushed Pineapple drained
1/4 cupe Raisins
1/4 cups Nuts
1/ cupe Coconut
1/4 cup Marzetti Slaw Dressing

In a mixinf bowl combine ingredients. Mix well. Chill until ready to serve.

VERSION II – Carole’s Variation:

1 Bag of prepared shedded cabbage
1 package Tropical Trail Mix ( I use WalMart brand)
1/4 cup Coconut
1 can chrushed Pineapple drained
1/4 – 1/2 Kraft Slaw Dressing ( I like it moist)

Combine cabbage, pineapple and dressing well, chill until 2 hours before serving then add the Tropical Trail Mix. Combine and chill for another 2 hours.

    Debbie, it is really good and anything that is good and cold on a hot summer day at a picnic rates very high in my book!
