Equine Tightwaddery

This book is information I have collected in my 40+
years with horses.  I don’t claim to know it all – I’m still
learning and hope to until I hang my spurs up!  But, what I
have found are ways to make my dollar stretch.  I don’t
know about everyone else but my dollar doesn’t stretch as
much as it used to, but with these tips, tricks, and
recipes it sure helps put a little more elasticity in the
dollar at the end of the month.  I wanted a reference
book that had EVERYTHING I was looking for in one book.

I’m always collecting new tips and revising recipes so if
you have any additional tips – please pass them on!  I hope
you enjoy my book as much as I enjoyed writing it.  I want
this book to be evergreen where it continues to grow as I
learn more I will be updating the book so keep a look out
for additional supplemental to this book!  Some of my
friends have received the book and they absolutely love
it!  See the reviews below.  One friend will allow people to
look at the book but they are not allowed to take it with
them!

Hi Nancy

I love your book!!   I think it's a great one stop, no-
nonsense (except for the funny bits of course) down to
earth reference book.  It has a bit of everything in it and
it's written in a way that everyone can understand.  Quite
often I pick up a book (or worse still, buy a book) and
find it's not what I'd expected or it'll talk about specific
problems and unwanted behaviour but not really provide
the answers on how to fix the problems.

Your book is great, of course there are many things I
already knew, but many new things too.  I particularly like
how you've described so clearly how to recognise the early
onset of problems like abscesses, colic etc.  My horse has
just recovered from an abscess in her hoof - I wish I'd
had your book a month ago because I might have
recognised her lameness as an abscess earlier than I did.
She came through it very well and quite quickly without any
drama, but your book may have given me a hint as to what
was wrong prior to getting the vet out.

Well done Nancy and thank you for sharing your
experience and knowledge (and for such a small price).
It's refreshing to find someone so willing to share without
putting an exorbitant price tag on it and who obviously has
the horse and owner's well being in mind.  I know your
book will be my number one point of reference.

Best regards

Glenda and Tasmin
(Tas is a gorgeous 15.2hh 12 year old bay Standardbred
mare - she's my first horse and we've been together for
9 months now.  I started riding lessons last year at 49,
but I figure it's better late than never and I have to say,
having Tas is the most exciting thing I've ever done.  Love
her to bits.)

“I laughed, I cried, and I learned some new things!  Nancy writes to
the laymen, she writes from the heart.  I could relate to her stories with
her horses!  This is a must have for any person involved in horses…..Jerry

“Prepare to laugh, have tissues for crying, and get ready to become the
“Betty Crocker & Clinique” to the horse world.  I loved the homemade
recipes offered and how you can turn them into gifts for “horsey” friends!
My friends loved the PopOat balls and their horses loved them more!”.......

“Nancy’s writing is geared towards everyone – for once I have a
reference book that I can understand.  It’s easy to see how James &
Nancy can handle all the horses that they do”……Alison R.

“This book is a must have for everyone – regardless of what stage of
the horse world.  I love this book!  Over 300 pages and well worth the
money – best money I’ve spent on a book in a long time”........Lynn
